Cody’s fascination with the Shaolin spirit began when he first encountered these young monks performing at Andy Lau’s concert in Hong Kong. Witnessing their unwavering determination and mastery of movement—qualities that resonate deeply with his own background in ballet—Cody felt a calling to document their world.

Traveling to the legendary Shaolin Temple in Zhengzhou, China, was a profound journey. Captured through the Leica SL System with the Vario-Elmarit-SL 24-90mm lens, Cody captures the rare balance of childlike innocence and the fierce dedication of these young practitioners.

This series, recognized as an official collaboration with Leica, is an invitation to witness the beauty of discipline and the quiet strength of the next generation of Shaolin.
